WestVan Beestewards’ goal is to engage neighbors in urban beekeeping and beestewarding and thereby raise awareness of how we can improve our communities and health.
Awareness of our industrial agricultural practices and energy infrastructure follows bees. In as much as people wish to remain apolitical, this is one arena where neutrality must be put aside. We are interdependent with the pollinators, so we must save to save ourselves. The focus of WVB is:

• education and engagement
• lessening chemicals in gardens and parkspaces
• creation of a pesticide free gardens and community gardens with year-round bee-attractive plantings
• hive building parties!
• the addition of as many backyard hives as there are interested householders!
